East Coast of Antigua with Hepzibah

27th February - 3rd March
Hepzibah and Mirabella in Indian Creek, Antigua

Hepzibah near Great Bird Island

The east coasts of the Caribbean islands are more open to the Atlantic weather and as such are less visited than the west coasts. Having visited the east coast of Martinique with Hepzibah (James and Bex) it was great to meet up with them again to do the east coast of Antigua. This entailed reef hopping to visit different anchorages. We stayed the night at Great Bird Island and Nonsuch Bay.
On the Sunday we went into Indian Creek on the south coast. The charts show the water to be too shallow, but we had heard others had managed it. In the end we had plenty of depth. From here we walked up to Shirley Heights for the evening party and the views across English and Falmouth Harbour.
