Falmouth Harbour, Antigua

Tuesday 4th February
After a 6:30 start we had a good sail to Falmouth Harbour, averaging well over 6 knots. Our only error was forgetting to close the forward hatches. This left bedding, cushions and other items needing a good wash to get the salt out of them. So while I went to visit customs, immigration and harbour control, Sue was busy washing!

English Harbour, which is a short distance from Falmouth Harbour, has Nelson’s Dockyard a cultural heritage site. Many of the yachts there are classics and immaculately kept. Sue fell for one which was over 70 foot long with large teak decks.

 Thursday 6th February
Walked up to Shirley Heights to get a good view of English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour.

Saturday 8th February
With RaLa we hired a car to tour the island. We ended up on the East Coast swimming with southern rays. You just had to make sure you did not stand on their tail.
There is one behind you!
